Job Title: Insurance Account Executive
Location: New Milton
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: up to £28,000 plus benefits
The Job role
As a Account Executive, you will be contributing to well respected and trusted insurance broker with a friendly and dedicated team, that provides cover for properties, large or small.
- Providing customer centric insurance products for the client’s clients
- Ensuring all enquiries dealt with in a professional and timely manner
- Ensuring compliance with FCA requirements
Role Purpose:
To manage and service a portfolio of insurance clients, providing high-quality administrative and technical support throughout the policy lifecycle. The Account Executive ensures clients receive accurate advice, timely documentation, and a professional point of contact while supporting retention, compliance, and growth of the account.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Servicing
- Act as the day-to-day point of contact for assigned clients
- Handle mid-term adjustments, renewals, cancellations, and general enquiries
- Ensure all client requests are dealt with accurately and within agreed SLAs
- Build and maintain strong, professional client relationships
Policy Administration
- Prepare and issue insurance documentation (policies, endorsements, certificates, schedules)
- Obtain quotations from insurers and negotiate terms where appropriate
- Maintain accurate and compliant client records on internal systems
- Ensure documentation meets FCA and internal compliance standards
Renewals
- Prepare renewal invitations in line with timescales
- Review claims history, sums insured, and risk details
- Liaise with insurers to secure competitive terms
- Support colleagues with renewal presentations where required
Insurer & Internal Liaison
- Communicate effectively with insurers, underwriters, and internal teams
- Chase outstanding information, documentation, and decisions
- Escalate complex or technical issues appropriately
Compliance & Quality
- Adhere to FCA regulations and company procedures
- Maintain audit-ready files and accurate records
- Support Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles
- Identify and report errors, risks, or complaints promptly
Additional Responsibilities
- Support new business enquiries where required
- Identify cross-sell or up-sell opportunities
- Assist with team projects, training, and process improvements
Skills & Experience:
Essential
- Experience in an insurance broking or underwriting environment
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident using insurance systems (Acturis preferred) and Microsoft Office including Excel
Desirable
- Cert CII (or working towards)
- Experience handling commercial lines / property insurance
- Knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance requirements
